Last night was my 10 yr olds first time at an LSU game. Because the AF had kept us away from home we do not get to see the Tigers play live hardly ever. So last night we were excited, standing, and cheering!!! This was a pivotal game with a lot to prove. We were standing during many third downs for our defense. Numb skulls behind us asked us to sit down because the could not see. I am sorry you are at an LSU FOOTBALL GAME not the opera!!!! If you wanna worry about sitting down and seeing the game sitting your stick in the mud butt at home on your couch!!!!!! I had eyes watching me (my 10 yr old) so I couldn't tell this dude what I really wanted to say. Never thought I would see that from LSU fans. No wonder Tiger stadium is turning into a shadow of what it once was. People like that need to give me their season tickets and eat their Brie and drink their wine on their couch at home!!!!! Wusses!!!!!! Geaux Tigers!!!!!

Hope the boy had a good time, and you did the right thing by not tearing the arsehole behind you a new one!

I'll cut you some slack on the TS comment and assume you were actually in the SWAMP in Gainsville...

As for the guys behind you.... glad you didn't get into it with them.... I ASSUME they were LSU fans, not Gators?

Also -- you have the right to stand and they have the right to sit. I think a good compromise is for you to sit most of the time and only stand when it's a critical situation --- 3rd downs, special teams plays, critical downs, etc.

Thank the LSUAD/TAF for that. They've priced out many long time LSU die hards and replaced them with Corporate freaks and many that don't really give a shite about the program.

I COULD stand the entire game but am not so rude and arrogant to do that and block the view of those who can't or don't want to stand. I've always thought the "Stand when you're supposed to stand on kickoffs, big third downs, after touchdowns, during big plays and on big defensive plays, then sit your arse down" is the best policy......

The bottom line is this: the majority of human beings have become fat and lazy. So lazy that they can't even STAND UP and MAKE NOISE for a full football game. They'll justify their behaviour with speeches about etiquette and compassion, but make no mistake, they are simply apathetic, obese sluggards.

Tiger stadium is no different than it used to be. Quit dreaming. There were no glory days. You just got older
