I give you Dan Hawkins, failed Colorado Head Coach, uber-successful Boise state coach. He's looking for work and has OC experience, especially when, from 1988-91, Hawkins was the offensive coordinator at the College of the Siskiyous (Calif.), helping lead the team to the Golden Valley Conference championship in 1991.
You can't argue with that.
If it's good enough for the Golden Valley Conference it's good enough for the SEC.
