Its always been like that too. My freshman year in 87 we went 10-1-1 with Archer and people started worrying we'd lose him to Miami when Johnson left

There's plenty of talent in La, we'll still get a couple a guys, its not like we get 7-10 guys a year from Texas. The Aggies will get some guys from La too.

strickly from a recruiting standpoint, I am glad aTm won. LSU will get a few talented guys out of Texas, no problem. we need a solid/strong aTm to keep the rest of the SEC west from poaching Texas.

What success? Beating one good team in the SEC? Start worrying once they win a championship or two.

Houston puts out approxmately 150-200 D1 players every year, plenty of players. That being said, I agree with earlier post that UT should be more worried than LSU. A&M made a very smart move coming to the SEC, no doubt! UT is a bunch of p******!!!!! ROFL

Do me a favor. Go to our roster and tell me how many players we have from Texas. I'll wait for your answer.

You're kidding right? They've lost to LSU and Florida...in mighty close games and took down the #1 team in the country/the SEC. That's pretty damn good and early success. If you can't see that, you're in denial.

We beat Auburn in a "mighty close game". It happens. And aTm completely folded in the second half of both of those games. They attempted to fold again on Saturday, but Bama folded more than they did.

Not to mention some really fine players on past LSU teams...Addai, Flynn, Brockers, Brooks, Mo Claiborne (OK...he's from Shrevepit...practially Texas!!!), LaFell, and McCray. All of these guys are in the NFL right now.

College Station---Baton Rouge
LSU student section in body paint-----12th man in riding boots
Cheerleaders in short skirts----yell leaders in ice cream vendor suits
Gumbo-----chipped beef on toast

Don't think we're in that much danger.

OK...now this is an argument you can build on. To deny that TAMU's having a great initial season in the SEC is foolish. But, this is something that I can go with. The success of TAMU could lead to more kids in Texas wanting to go to the SEC...only so many can go to TAMU...We're still well positioned!!

Why in the hell are ya'll so worried about aTm.....First they are going to jump us into a BCS bowl and now they are going to steal all our recruits from Texas. It is just Texas A&M folks....chill.

This shite is out of control. I knew this would happen if the Aggies beat Bama. Bama alwasy fricks things up.

I agree, but doesnt hurt lsu that we will be playing in texas almost every year. Played last year, played this year, play next year and play again in 2014. We also will get a hard look from most of the top defenders as long as chavis is here.

It won't hurt LSU as much as it hurts Texas. We have a lot of players that live in Texas with ties to Louisiana that would kill to come home. A&M will battle UT for the 5 star talent all over the state, fortunately for us southeastern Texas is the forgotten talent just waiting for the picking. I think it will help LSU in the long run.
