I just searched Youtube for NBA players in practice.

Here is Mike Miller shooting 3's in practice:

He went 27/30 by the way... 90%.

He's Curry going 85% while practicing for the 3-point contest... and that isn't just easy shooting in the gym. He's on a timer.

22 out of 26 (he took an extra shot)

I misunderstood. I thought you meant like 80% when they are 5 on 5 scrimmaging.

When these guys are relaxed in practice, with somebody just feeding them the ball allowing them to get in a rhythm with no defenders, they hit 3's all day like nothing.

Absolutely.

He's the second best. Glen Rice is the best shooter these eyes have ever seen.

How was everyone else so bad? The majority of those guys were coming up way short... These are fricking NBA stars and they can't even hit the room from half court? That's crazy

But seriously, it always baffles me when college basketball players throw up half-court shots and like shoot it over the shot clock. If it's uncontested you should be able to get very close to the rim most of the time.

You must not watch some of them shoot free throws.

Believe it or not, I once made three free throws in a row.

Remember that it's NBA half-court, so it'll be a good bit further than any courts we play on.

Mike said that his record for most made in a row was like 88 or 98 something like that. It was either his most made in a row last season or ever. I don't really remember, but it's pretty amazing how great they are at what they do.

Steph has a game he plays where he shoots threes until he misses 2 in a row. At some point last season he said he shot roughly 90 of them before missing two in a row.

There was a thread on the OT a while back where it was determined that most OTers shoot around 30% to 40% from half court.

That's significantly better than NBA All-Stars, so once again TD.com impresses me with how amazing the anonymous posters are IRL.
