Yeah. I get simple smoothing for exploratory purposes, but SAS and SPSS have easy point and click options to model relatively complex time-series models that can be done in a few moments. That's not including the more advanced methods that SAS, R, STATA and other packages can handle. My little laptop that has very little computing power could model monthly data for a 100 years with no problem, so much larger computers should have no problem whatsoever, no matter the complexity is the data.
