$1.7 million insurance policy in play if he steps on field. He collects if he doesn't. Not sure on signing bonus but he has not collected his salary from contract the last two years.

He got the signing bonus. The insurance policy allows for a few games as well but if he doesn't think he can handle it all hes got to do is go to the doctor and they'll say hes unable to perform.
I didn't think he was getting his salary either but someone on ESPN said the 49ers had been paying it. They were probably wrong though
