I tend to think that my generation playing soccer, but being coached by little league dads who bought a book on soccer, probably has something to do with our slow development of the game.
I'm sure the larger answers have to do with our national apparatus for supporting elite young players, but I think we will definitely progress in how young talent is developed across the board, and hopefully that will open up where we can look for future talent.
