The only people I've heard that say are British.

Don't take this the wrong way, but you kind of suck.
Sheep was talking about the mouth breathers who are fans only for the World Cup and bitch and moan about how the team could be better if Dwight Howard played forward. People who are there for the party and not the game. How you couldn't figure that out I'm not sure. Clearly you know frick all about what actual soccer fans think. We want more people to follow the sport here, but those aren't the types we want.

No I'm a pretty cool guy, man. The group think around here just kind of bums me out sometimes. When I disagree with something someone says or when something sounds corny to me, I have a problem keeping my mouth shut sometimes. It's probably not my best trait or the best way to go about doing things, but It's gotten me pretty far so I'm going to keep doing it. I've made a point to be respectful towards you but you always seem to come at me and throw your two cents in when I'm arguing a point with someone else.

Every sport and every fan base is going to have bandwagoners and idiots, get over it.

I don't get this? It's sports in the United States. Drinking and sporting events go hand-in-hand in not only the United States, but every other major soccer nation. Now if there were AO's running around conducting Green Street type behavior then I think we have a problem, but I'd say were extremely tame compared to many national supporters. But when it comes to sports in the U.S. that have to do with a National team and representing the stars and stripes, whether it's Olympic hockey, soccer, the WBC or anything else, the country, especially college kids, usually jump on the bandwagon for that event.
I know bandwagoners bother some people, I first experienced it when I grew up a Texas Rangers fan and sat through terrible year after terrible year and then watched their back-to-back WS appearances, but it was a lot more fun when the ballpark in Arlington was full, compared to if you go to a game now.
I've never personally seen an AO member, or another soccer fan tell someone to frick off because they don't know anything about the current soccer world, but I'm sure it happens.

When it comes to the Forum, and i'm still somewhat new on here but this is how I've taken it thus far, you're going to get blasted plenty. Randy and I went at it like two weeks ago, but do I hate him as a user? No, we just bicker because he likes Chelsea and I like City. Whether it's for an opinion or a side you prefer, you just have to take it. It's the internet and there's no reason to get butthurt over something someone says on a forum.

My experience is almost the opposite. In Memphis there is a group of about 40 (usualy only average 10 unless a big game) that go to one bar for EPL or European cup games and then another for US games. 99% of the time we are the only ones in the bar for EPL games and maybe 5 or 10 extra more will show up for US games.
All that to say, during the WC we had so many people that came in, which is awesome, but I don't need a group of middle aged women telling us to quite down so they can hear, or stop climbing on my chair to start a chant. At some point it comes down to individuals being aware of thier surroundings. If you don't want to be around a group of guys drinking, singing, and talking about soccer then host your own party.
ETA: For people that will claim that the bar is public and should be courteous to everyone. The owner is Irish and he will be the first to jump in on a good chant or shot after a goal.

Yes, and Celtic.

Well you'll have one more joining y'all there in a few months once I get done with school here in Tuscaloosa.
One of my friends who I have gotten in to soccer over the past year is moving out to that area and will likely start going there to watch some games soon.

Awesome. The regulars at Celtic are awesome. Every major club has around 7 or so regular fans that show up, besides arsenal who generally go to Brass Door. We are all really friendly and all he has to do is show up and he will be accepted by other fans.
There might be a little bit of trash talk during the games, but everyone goes back to being friends after the games end.

I went to Celtic for Euro 2008 to see my team, France, crash out in awful fashion. Decent bar though.

I'm looking forward to it. There really isn't a place in Tuscaloosa (or at least I haven't found it) to go watch games except for the occasional CL game.
