bc it directly impacts multiple aspects of the game. It drove team wages sky high which in turn makes ticket prices skyrocket. City is paying way over market value for players in transfer fees and wages.
Lucky for United we have not raised tickets this year even with our absurd wage bill. Which I see going down next year esp after dropping players like Falcao.

If you expect me to cry for a ManU or Liverpool fan, you're barking up the wrong tree. Anything that rustles the top clubs is a good thing in my book.

The free market will work this out. If people don't go because they can't afford/are put off, then prices will drop.

PSG, like Man City, represent a disruption to the established order

yet PSG isn't even in first in a league they should be running away with.

But they tied Chelsea twice!

You could disrupt in a much more effective way. Instead your teams use a scorched Earth policy instead of investing in effective means of establishing themselves. Instead you throw money at absolutely everything that moves and still go out in the first knockout rounds of the European Cup. Literally all negative for the market and the club and no positive.
I for one, don't mind the policies these teams adopt. Sure they destroy the market and leave devastation in their irresponsible wake, but then again we get to watch them drop the annual fiscal budget of a small country and get little to nothing in return. I mean, am I the only one that finds that hilarious?

No they represent corruption, dumbass spending and basically everything that is wrong with world soccer.
Which is why I think the soccer gods will not let them win anything of note. City can have their EPL, that's not that big of a deal. UCL though, not happening. At least for a while.
Look how long it took Chelsea, and even that win was kind of flukish.

Yeah, you don't sound bitter at all

@ the notion of soccer gods.
Also, both have won their domestic league/cups multiple times. Are you saying that winning the CL is the only trophy "of note"?

Newflash: winning the European Cup is hard.
PSG/City have only been at it a few years yet they are "failing" because they haven't done it already? Get a grip.

It's pretty awesome that they think they've actually accomplished something when in reality everyone still sees them as the Mickey Mouse pretender clubs they themselves perpetuate.
I'd say 75% of the world has more respect for clubs like Southampton. The amusing thing is the Saints, on their current development track, will probably win the European Cup before either City or PSG. And they'll have done it in a fiscally responsible and sustainable way.

I mean chelsea won the league right after the takeover and 8 to win europe but each year they held their own in europe.
Took City what 5 years just to win the league and keep shitting the bed in europe. All while they have almost caught up to Chelsea in money spent in the EPL area.

The year we won it sure, but we were the best team in 2005, 2008, 2009 and got fricked/unlucky every time.

It would help if they actually, you know, qualified first.
You are truly delusional. I know you are the other fans of the old school clubs are upset that you actually have to compete for your top 4 spot now. Y'all come off like spoiled brats throwing a tantrum because the game isn't rigged in your favor as much anymore. Cry me a river.

I'd say City and PSG are both underachieving. City moreso. Not that they haven't won it but they can't even get out of the group or Round of 16 and have been at it for like 6-7 years now.
PSG obviously have a good shot to make some real noise this year now that they finally got past a "big European club".
