I like Bombay Sapphire Gin...however...Jenever (Dutch Gin) is horrible to me.

It is also made with juniper berry flavoring. It is not my cup of tea.

The first time I flew on KLM across the Atlantic into Amsterdam the airlines gave little ceramic souvenier Dutch houses that were filled with Jenever (got one flying both ways).

I tried some high quality 'old' Jenever in Eindhoven with a friend and it was no better.

Gin is the base of many classic cocktails- corpse revived, gimlet, the last word, etc
