GREAT THREAD!
She's In Parties is ok but not even in my top ten. All of the lp In the Flat Field is greatness and it depends on my mood as to what I think is my favorite. For now, I'll throw In the Flat Field out there. The drumming is tribal punk and the bass line is as always, dark evil.
God in an Alcove is another favorite. I had the guitar part semi down a few months ago and then quit playing it for some reason.
As for the Bauhaus spinoffs, I like Tones and Love and they have a lot of really good stuff and probably were more consistent than Bauhaus. But they never approached the greatness of Bauhaus when Bauhaus was at their peak. I never cared for Peter Murphy solo. Too poppy/dancie for me. I am passing on Peter when he plays here last tomorrow night....solo acoustic show and promising some Bauhaus stuff. But I don't want to sit through his other crap.
