Does that sound right?

High/low?

I need 200 feet of bulkhead replaced.

Eta:200ft not 800ft

That is about right for a small lot, but for 800 lf you should be able to get a cheaper price.

There are several variables that go into quoting a bulkhead. Such as your water depth, height of wall out of the water, any debris that may be in the way, what are the soils like, pulling out old wall and hauling off, back fill, any obstruction in the way (camp/trees). What length material were you quoted?

Buildong a bulkhead in a golf course isn't impressive. I'm not saying he's not good, it's just that building one on Tickfaw is completely different, two totally different environments.

I was always told around $100/ft. Really depends if you are talking sheet pile or wood also what kind of depth and the tie back situation. It is an expensive project but really adds to the property and ensures your land won't just wash away. If you don't mind looking a little trashy rip rap will work.

Last time I priced it on the Diversion Canal for wood about 6 years ago, it was $100' The 6 lots to my south are getting ready to install 600'. I know they are getting a price break, but I don't know the price.

We are right down from you, Wildlife canal, last one on right as you head toward Prop Stop-I know we didn't pay that much, I will see if I can get you a name and number to get an estimate.

Sounds right to me. I did 100' 2 years ago and it was $115/ft. Had 2 others quote me and one was $210, the other was $200/ft. Was thrilled to hear $115 and did a great job. Lafayette area. Reply to my message if you want me to look up his name, I think he was out of Port Barre.
