Downside of the cell service being down: Acadian's CAD (computer aided dispatch) system relies on said mobile service. So right now, none of the ambulances are connected to dispatch through their MDTs. (Mobile Data Terminals). On top of that every agency in the area is using the 700 radios, so those are jammed as well. And on top of THAT, they don't have truck mounted backup radios anymore.

When it rains it pours.

That route is or will be closed shortly due to increasing water levels. It's about to pass its record high flood amount.

Livingston Parish is just inaccessible from BR as of now

I'm honestly just shocked right now. Such a rollercoaster of emotions the last 48 hours.

Bayou fountain @bluebonnet is 2-3 feet away from overflowing her banks... just drove through westhaven neighborhood... they're starting to get significant water backup/backflow in their drainage systems... water is getting eerily close

Not sure if you saw my earlier post but yes it looks like that neighborhood may flood: via NWS

Impact... at 14.0 feet... backwater flooding along bayou Manchac and Bayou Fountain will flood Highland Road and Burbank drive in
places. Many homes will be threatened along the bayous from their Amite river outlets upstream to the lsu Campus. Kendalwood Road and adjacent property will be inundated. Amite River Road and Horseshoe drive will remain impassable.

* Impact... at 12.0 feet... kendalwood Road and adjacent property will be inundated. Backwater may flood Bayou Fountain and flood some homes on Burbank drive. Most secondary roads will be moderately flooded. Amite River Road and Horseshoe drive will be impassable. A few homes on Horseshoe drive will flood.

How in the hell does cell service completely go down??? This just got bad if people can't communicate that they need help.
