I am privileged to be a white boy who doesn't need to buy a costume to be accused of being a racist. How about that?

Yep. Perhaps if there was more "cultural appropriation" of white culture in the black community 3/4 of their babies wouldn't be born to single mothers, more of them would graduate high school knowing how to read and do simple math, fewer of them would think acting like a thug is cool, and more of them would be able to find/keep a damn job.

Hell, it doesn't even have to be white culture. Why not go for the gold and adapt some Asian culture since they are the highest achievers in this country?

What can there be to be offended about?

And the very concept is incredibly damaging to global society as a whole and xenophobic. Seriously, what if we Americans said that you can't have any of our culture to the rest of the world? What if cultures didn't take what was good from other cultures to improve on their own? If cultural appropriation were taken seriously, we'd still be in the feudal era and warring with one another.

Taking what works in other cultures and improving from it is what makes the world great. Proof of this is the best cuisine in the world is French Vietnamese. With cultural appropriation, then this incredible cuisine would have never come to fruition.

It's a very xenophobic concept but it's also impossible. People share cultural values, foods, ideas, etc just by encountering one another. As long as diverse people are on this planet, you will always have cultural assimilation. These SJW's are living in a world that never has and never will exist.

I wish corporations would just stop stooping to their levels and tell them to frick off. If only a few corporations nutted up and did that, these frickers would stop getting the attention they crave.

Stuff like this makes me want to make sure I dress up for Halloween as either Pocahontas, a geisha, or a mexican salsa dancer just to see how many get pissed off at my costume.

Well then, they should stop using things like electricity and computers and plastic the combustion engine since evil white Devils invented them.
What would any other race be able to use then?

No they were just the idiots who subscribed to it and went in droves to the ballot box in support of it.

I really despise what the world has come to.

Catering to bogus claims..

There is nothing racist about a costume of a character like this.

No, Actually it's not. I don't care if another race wants to dress up as a character of my race.. nor should they. This crap is so ridiculous. Dave Chappelle and others have done white face, and it's completely fine.

It's gonna crush my son when I tell him he can't be the Avengers' Black Panther for Halloween this year.

Good idea. I think you should wear a pocahontas dress, black face, with a sombrero on your head and tribal sleeve tattoo. You could be "Anti-PC girl".

Albino Panther sounds funny but lame. Like he wants to be the real black panther and have the same badass factor, but the pigment just fricked him.

I wish someone could explain to me how this is supposed to work?

We want multicultural/diversity. But we don't want anyone to like or adopt or identify with any of the stuff from other cultures. We just want them to see it. But ignore it even if they like it. But talk about it, in a real conversation. But not a conversation we have to listen to as well as talk. That isn't real. It is only real if we do all the talking.

And we want leaders we can identify with, but not ones that try to be like us or act like us because that's wrong. If you aren't us, don't act like us. But you can't lead us if you aren't identifiable to us. But don't be like us, or try to adopt any of our good stuff. But don't be like the not-us people either, cuz they are bad.

Unless of course you want to appropriate gender roles. Then it's cool. And we need to encourage people to do that. But not while wearing an outfit that a person of another skin tone might wear. Or eat any food not originated by your specific people.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

If someone wants to wear that outfit, that means they accept Polynesians and have no ill feelings for them.

Now this woman says kids can't accept her child's race by imitating them.

Which means Polynesians must be kept separately and not included in the rest of society.

They may as well be on an isolated island in the middle of the ocean. Oh, wait.....
