You're taking that a little too literally . That's just common names for a run heavy/under center offense.

You can be an innovative offense and still run the ball a majority of the game

LSU vs Bama runs has much more to do with their QB limitations than the offenses they actually run

Its a 'lets see if you can stop us' attitude.

It you are talented enough then it is smart to keep it simple.

Arky- pro
A&M-spread
Missouri- spread

Seems like reputation doesn't meet reality

ETA you can argue that the SEC offenses were better a few years ago before the spread started to um spread across the SEC
Exactly. Thread is filled with lazy arguments.

Leach is the man, but sounds like an idiot on this one.

Overall record is really not the point to the argument. The point that Leach makes when he says the SEC runs the same offense across the board is flat out wrong.

That's why I like him. No one ever knows what the hell he is going to say next. He says whatever is on his mind. And doesn't care what anyone thinks about him. He should join Ryan when Washington St. cans him, and have their own talk show.

You forgot one team out of the conference.

South Carolina- Spread (depending on the QB there are option principles in the run game)

And a couple of updates.

Kentucky- air raid traditionally, however this year they ran more of a power pistol spread

Vandy- pro style

Auburn- spread option

Mizzou- air raid

Louisville's offense was pretty damn impressive all year-then they played the tigahs of LSU. It's all about talent! LSU just had better skilled player on the field..The Cards QB was running for his life the whole game.. If Leach had SEC OL AND especially DL-men Maybe his team could stop other pac teams from outscoring his team ! Great offence's win but, (most times) a good DF WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS!
