I'll go with a recent.
My phone somehow turned itself off so I didn't get an alarm and I was an hour late for work. Went to the gym on my lunch break and completely forgot about a client meeting (he never confirmed). I was on the squat rack sweaty when my boss texted me. Took a 30 second shower and ran back to the office. Get there and the a/c is out so i'm sweating through my shirt while meeting with an important client.

I think this was the majority of LSU kids in that time period
I remember going to a bunch of away games that season with senior LSU kids, we sat next to each other and saw each other at numerous tailgating functions, because of our love/fondness for TD we call ourselves the,"Sorry For Partying Krewe¯\_(?)_/¯", we often communicated through the MSB CFBBT from week to week and it was pretty great and times were legendary... Till 1/9/12
On that we were supposed to meet at F&Ms and so it big, I was the only one that showed and was the only people in there except for two or three other people and my old school friends from LSU that I graduated/worked with, it was pretty legendary moment as we had the whole place to ourselves and we had closed it out on 1/4/04.
Everything had come full circle and so goes life.

My dad died on Christmas 3 yrs ago. I had to tell my kids after they opened their presents.

Obviously I have had worse days in my life and one of them was Tuesday but OP said to exclude deaths and what not. Just wanted to put that as a disclaimer
2011 was the LSU football season I never expected to see out of LSU. I just never thought I'd see a team that I was a fan of be that good. It's the Houston sports fan in me. Even as a son of a LSU season ticket holder, I never had faith in LSU being that awesome. That team was fricking stupid.
Going to Oregon, Tennessee, west va, and etc games without worrying knowing they were going to beat arse was so pleasurable

-My bank card got locked due to a gas station overcharging me.
-I headed into work where we were subsequentally held at gun point and robbed ten minutes before me closed. My phone was smashed and rendered useless during this. We stayed two hours after working with the cops. I go to get in my car and it will not crank up. By this time, I am like F it just get me home and to a party that had been set up for some time.
-My good friend was dating a girl who had a pretty damned cute friend, let's call ger "G" Well G had been getting drunk all night and had been asking around about me to other people. So it was obvious I had the in, Finally one thing went right! Right?! Wrong! She was sitting on my lap in the kitchen before we were supposed to go out and everyone gathers around to do a group shot. Everyone kicks back the shot and she looks at me..as I am going for the kiss she barfs all on me and I am like wtf you need to get up and go to the bathroom. She tries to get me to go but I rode out and never looked back. Never talked to G again, but she was hella fine.
-Forgot about the car? So did I!.. and it got towed. FUK THAT DAY!

The morning I woke up and realized I likely impregnated my boss's not-so-attractive wife, especially when she was talking about telling him that we fricked in their hotel room at the Christmas party. Turned out negative and she never told him but that day was really shitty.
