I threw up at mile 11 and it completely shot my plan... We were at 750ft elevation gain by mile 10 and it was 75 degrees, it was dumb but I finished.

4:13 and I had a group of 3 marathoners who were with me at the last that were all sub-3:30 runners... So I'm happy, just glad I was able to finish after a strange start

ETA: I also saw 2 people who had flatlined and were getting chest compressions... I will never run this full again.

Holy shite!!

Are you serious? I saw several ppl being wheeled across the finish line and they looked like all hell.

What heck. That’s insane. I don’t mind some degree of difficulty to a marathon but it has to make sense. That seems like making it hellish just because

I ran with my friend cami and I run faster than she does (i'm still not fast mind you) but afterwards she was talking about how running downhill was hell on her knees and I said to her "I don't think we ran the same course bc it all seemed up hill to me"
