I was watching the game when it happened honestly I didn't even thinkthe hit was illegal til the ref threw the flag. I just knew M.Lee was done probably for the season.

This is exactly why Denzel Ward got hurt. He tried to wrap up Zack Ertz but since you can’t get anywhere near a guys helmet anymore, he went low and Ertz’s momentum bent him backwards.

What’s messed up is that Gregg Williams (who never wastes an oppportunity to sound like a bag of dicks), chastised his injured rookie DB and said he hurt himself because of the stupid way he tackles and Ward wouldn’t be hurt if he “wold just listen to me”.

The NFL doesn't care whether the rule changes will lead to a different array of injuries. As long as the head is taken out of the tackle. This is what happens when lawyers get involved with defining what now constitutes the perfect "form tackle" in today's NFL.

I feel bad for the players who understand what is needed to preserve their own bodies as well as the safety of their competitors.
