Been looking to replace a built in Jacuzzi tub. Was the thing to have 20 years ago, but I can't nor the wife can use the jets anymore.

I looked all over the place, but yet to find a soaker tub to meet my needs. I am 6' and a regular size soaker tub is to short. Really would like a cast iron to hold heat.

Anybody have any ideas?

If you want a tub that will hold the heat, you need to look at getting an acrylic tub. We have a free standing acrylic, MTI brand tub. No issues with it holding the temp.

I’ve got an acrylic soaker tub from Kohler...I think it’s the tea for two model. Extra wide rather than extra long, and not freestanding, but like the previous poster said, it holds the heat really well. One thing to note: if you end up with an extra long soaking tub, you may need a hot water heater upgrade. I ended up with two 50 gallon WHs plumbed in series to ensure I could actually fill up that big ol tub without running out of hot water....or so someone could immediately take a hot shower just after I filled the tub.
