THIS sounds just like 08. Never said I wanted to erase his legacy. I don't think "faux pas" is in the rule book. It was a rules violation. They had only two options. Penalize him or dq him.
I personally think Jacks best MAY have been better but that is jmo. At worst they are 1A and 1B, and I think you could switch them anytime you wanted.
I don't like him for the way he has treated the public but that is separate from this issue. I think he lacks moral character and he should have withdrawn but...

This was covered under the old rule also. I forget the exact wording but you are to drop as close as possible, no nearer. You aren't required to drop in the old divot hole... Which you should have replaced anyway.. Haha.
