Meaning, I wouldn’t lose sleep over it either way. To some, it represents slavery and oppression in a country that was born to grant the rights, liberties, and freedoms others condemned.
To be honest, the only people I see flying the confederate flag proudly, are trashy as frick, and a complete embarrassment to what that flag actually does stand for.

I don't get the "in your face" trailer trash that wave the Rebel flag, I think they're way down on the food chain in general, on the other hand, I don't think we should try to erase someone's heritage either

I think you are older than I am but it certainly wasn't really taboo in the little town that I grew up in back in the 80s. I'm fairly indifferent towards it but immediately branding someone as a racist over it is a reach too imo.
