I agree with this in theory, but if you dismissed them it would be on social media and the world would have you labeled a racist before his tires hit the end of the driveway. there's a definite double standard there.

It seems like a double standard because this was a poor comparison.

BLM, even with its many faults, isn’t the same as a society of people who believed other people were property and should be treated as such.

And what do you think the poli board's response would be?

Do you honestly not know?

They would center around him being right and her being wrong. Blah blah blah flag not even racist blah blah it's about heritage and so on.
Take some of the adverse comments in here (how come she can do what she believes in but he can't and the he did a service (but didn't) she should pay) and multiply it by 20

exactly how it should go down

Except for maybe recording it on ring app to share it publicly on Facebook (for yahoo to get it it wasn’t just shared with friends). I don’t get the need to share every outrage and get people labeled by others. Not all seem to be “to each his own” like the lady in recording. Possibly also could have been both a teaching moment and a show of tolerance.

It was dumb to have flag, but I would bet not everyone with a confederate flag is going to be more of a racist than the ones who show up without it or the ones who end up seeing the video and start attacking the person or his family.

I also doubt I could get away with posting a video of being even uncomfortable much less turn someone away if someone showed up to my home with one of the symbols/graphics from the more leftist extremist wings of BLM, black power, rainbow/trans, or CAIR supporters.

I personally wouldn’t actually turn anyone down showing up with support for the more extremist views of these groups who I already had agreed to come over and perform a task for a fee. I may just want to make sure they wanted to do business with someone of my ilk that they obviously have some disdain for, but even then I wouldn’t be recording it and sharing it for all to see.

Guys, everyone should believe in blm in theory, it's the political way it's twisted that could be looked down upon..

In theory we should all agree that cops shouldnt racially profile and feel threatened by skin color.

There were and are too many young black men being killed by police, that's a fact

I will concede to that conditionally, had I made the statement that he was making, I would not have used them as an example. I realize that they are trying very hard to simply be a pro black movement, however if you enter change that with BPP, it become a much more accurate statement. There are large factions of that particular organization who would like to see white people eradicated, and yet that fist that represents them largely gets a pass in fashion, social media, and other areas of display, and were you to choose to speak against it you would be crucified for it, and you know it. I realize that the world is not fair, and that things were very rarely be balanced, but to act like that double standard does not exist doesn’t do any good to any of us. You cannot change the future without being very accurate and realistic about the present.

How is this any different than the cake maker who refused to make cakes for gay weddings and became a conservative hero?

And you would be wrong in your appraisal. What if I told you there are multiple poliboard posters in this very thread who see absolutely nothing wrong with the lady telling ole baw his services weren't needed?

No truer words were spoken. I'd like to add sports also. I just want athletes to hit, shoot shots, run, dribble, pass, catch, etc. I don't want you to enter the politcal spectrum and tell us how we should think. It's a turn off.

That was a business rejecting a customer

This is a customer rejecting a business.

So it's different because it's the exact opposite.

A little common sense should have told him not to roll up to his black client's home sporting a six foot Confederate flag on his truck.

First, the cake baker is the black couple here. And almost everyone is saying "I'm totally cool with the black couple telling this guy to get lost." So I'm not sure what your point is.

Second, let us know when this black couple gets hauled before some kangaroo court and threatened with fines/closure of business/whatever, because that's what happened to the baker.

Dude the double standard isnt necessarily unwarranted.. shite I even except the double standard somewhat,i mean there ancestors were slaves to our ancestors. Based on that fact alone, I'm willing to accept a little bit of a double standard, not a lot, because that wasnt me or my immediate family, but yeah a little double standard, I'm OK with that.
