re: Dog training pond in/near Metairie

Lafrieniere the park rangers always come tell me something about having the dog on a leash unless it’s a dog park. On the lake side of the levee behind Lake Villa drive has been a good spot for me. I shoot the dummy launchers and everything back there without any issues. There are some gators in the pumping station canal, but I have not seen them in the actual pond back there. That being said, I only work the dogs back there when it’s cooler. The rangers don’t do as great a job of keeping the gators out of the spillway pond as they used to.
