I agree. Wade is trying to get these guys to play for championship trophies , not participation trophies.

You do have to get your team ready, but you also need to let a couple of guys play who may not get to play later in the season.

How good would our top 6-8 guys be without the guys who practice against them every week.

I see both sides of this discussion.

Somebody’s heard last month’s new diss and has randomly made use of it.
Cool.

I heard that Coach WW cancelled practice and locked himself up in his office, totally panicked by the physician's diatribe. His feedback was meaningless to WW.

He’s probably one of those old farts that sit on their hands the entire game and bitch if someone stands up to cheer. I can call him an old fart because I to am retired and probably as old as he is. This is what I think of Tim.

He comes from a different time when values were not the same. Probably a senior moment in the middle of the night. Believe me I am old enough to know about those.

Tim Andrus must be an alias for F King Alexander.

I'm glad that I was never a patient of Dr. Andrus, as his recollection of facts is clearly erroneous.

Marlon did not even play in the game, Cooper played 9 minutes in the game (that's nearly 25% of the game), while the starters averaged 23 minutes (that's only a little over 50% of the game). As Project noted, Thomas is not cleared to play, and will likely be red shirted, if he even remains on the team. And as others have pointed out, Parker Edwards, not Caleb Starks, is the transfer.

The only thing I'll legitimize is that I have been curious why Edwards hasn't been able to garner some garbage minutes. But someone did point out the other day that it could possibly be because of transfer rules, but didn't know for sure.

So here is to you, Dr. Andrus...

Unless Edwards graduated from SLU he isn’t eligible yet unless he received some sort of special exemption like Fields at OSU received.

Pretty sure he got pissy when patients told him how to diagnose them.

He was my wife and daughter’s doctor. He delivered my daughter. You can disagree with the mans opinion but you dont know shite about the guy. He was top notch as a premier Ob/gyn in BTR for many yrs.

If his observations in hoops is any indication of his professional work, if I were you I’d ask for a blood test to make sure there was no mix up.

Yeah, definitely makes sense. Just didn't hear much about it as part of the transfer on if he would have to sit out the year. I guess most just assumed he would be available immediately.

Honestly Will Wade doesn't use garbage time well and doesn't seem interested in developing a full second team much. I didn't see the point of letting the backup pg go 1 on everyone without passing for much of the second half.

I guess I am more of the Phil Jackson style of developing an identity for the second unit guys.

Not that I would consider it a major knock against Wade. Not many new coaches think much beyond the starters.

It would seem to me that it would be beneficial to work guys in with first testers he’d likely play with if the first teamer at his position got hurt or got in foul trouble.

For instance take Smart out and then let Bishop play some with the other four starters.

I dont give a hoot about his basketball knowledge. If I had a female in my family with female or pregnancy problems he would be my first call if he was still practicing.

So maybe BB coaching is not his strong suit, at least he is a regular patron of the team... which is probably more than most on here.

OK, I am 68, retired, and have had LSUMBB season tickets since 1976. The OP's criticism is ridiculous. I have watched and listened to WW closely in his three seasons at LSU. The man simply knows what he is doing in handling his personnel. If he played the starters long after our lead was insurmountable on Sunday afternoon, that was what was needed at that point. It amuses me that we have a few fans who think they know better than a coach who has brought us bigtime success in such a short time.

I suspect we have 15-20 longtime fans who actually do not like WW for whatever reason. Those people, while entitled to their opinions, are simply idiots. Will Wade is the best thing that has happened to LSU MBB since Dale's heyday.
