What’s crazy to me is that Vince has conceded to the fact he will lose 375 million over three years! In “hopes” that at the end of the 3rd year he can get tv deals for 125 million a year, for 3 years, to cover those loses. Just think of having that kind of money to throw out there and not sure if it will be made back. Unreal.

I used to feel that way. Nowadays I've just got too much going on and look forward to the break. I didn't even watch the super bowl last year, but that had a bit to do with being a Saints fan.

I used to watch NFL network all year long. This past offseason I didn't turn it on until almost August, and that was only to get ready for fantasy football. I didn't watch the draft or the combine, both of which were must see TV for me like 5 years ago.

I'll still watch the Saints and play fantasy football, but once both those seasons end I really don't care anymore.

The fact they are starting it a week after the Super Bowl is the biggest reason it will fail. Wait until people are hungry for football again, run it in the summer and have the championship game the week before college games start. July/August are brutal months for sport fans.

When does it start?
I'm more excited for this league, than the last one.

At least this one has more players we know

Go...Battlehawks? I might watch a game here and there. Is there a TV deal with ABC or FOX? Or just cable?

That sounds all well and good in theory. But would fans be willing to sit outside in the hottest months of the year for it? But yeah, I can definitely see a lot of people wanting a break from football after NFL season.

The XFL should start in April and end in early July. People in places like Atlanta and Dallas will sit outside for baseball so night games when it gets hot should be okay.

I think a season that begins in April and ends in July would be perfect. I can't imagine people getting ready for football one week after the superbowl.

The problem with April-June and even July-March is nobody cares about the XFL.

Probably not. But not going up against NBA and NHL playoffs will help a bit.

There hasn't been a game played in two weeks. Between CFB and the NFL I am used to watching at least one game every night and a full day's worth of games on weekends. I'm freaking Jonesing for some football right now, not burned out. More games next weekend? Sign me up.

You are absolutely right. If the season was before the NFL season, a lot more people would watch because we’re craving football again.

I am not the least bit interested. I will wait until Labor Day when the real football starts....... June Jones was on the radio the other night talking about how they were planning, in the next year or so, to start drafting kids right out of high school. This would hurt the college game. I am against it.
