I heard some districts are trying to hold off on closing until next Tuesday due to ACT tests

Governor doesn’t wait on the act. District will have no choice when he comes down on them.

They closed here until April 24th (six weeks). I'm not sure if it's statewide but I know it applies to the Seattle metro. My kids are teenagers so it's not a huge deal for us but I feel for the parents of younger children.

All my staff are now in a second meeting, probably for what we're doing here. I'm guessing my dept (IT) is about to work through the weekend.

I have sources inside of a state-level office saying Governor Edwards will announce later this afternoon that schools will be closed til April 13.
