Starting this now ...

Reese already seems like the over-controlling person character like from Big Little Lies

Interesting story line and great acting thus far. I’m a sucker for anything taking place the 90’s

Caught up on this this weekend, and finally hooked. It took until episode 3 or 4 to really get into it, but now I'm intrigued.

Kerry Washington's character sucks. She has never played a character I liked.

It's set up a conflict in which all parties are loathsome. That doesn't make it bad, but it's hard to get excited for any outcome. Is Izzy the character who isn't awful? She's surely annoying.

It's been a long time since I started a new show. Now I'm watching both this and Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist with my wife. I'm enjoying both, but I've wondered if maybe my quality calibration for TV is somewhat off.

I would say some of the parties are good. Tripp and Moody both seem to be decent kids, Bill Richardson seems like a good guy, I like Pearl (well feel bad for her), and Izzy is likable as well.

I'm 4 episodes in and really enjoy it. All the kids seem alright other than the oldest daughter.

I guess my problem with Moody is how insufferably cringe-worthy he is. I love the Before trilogy, but calling out Pearl for wanting to have fun just to watch Before Sunset because he thought Ethan Hawke swooning over a French girl would get Pearl in the hanky-panky mood was just awful.

Trip is an idiot meat head, but he's so far been pretty honest about his intentions.

He's definitely cringe-worthy, but I knew a lot of kids like that growing up in this same time period. He's a caricature of cringe-worthy to the extreme, but he's far from loathable. In my opinion.

Honestly Kerry Washington's character seems to be the worst of the whole bunch, but I'm sure that's some misdirection as well.

I was curious about Zoey’s Playlist after seeing the trailers. It looked like harmless, light entertainment. Haven’t seen it, though

Same. I’m loving all the music especially. I graduated high school right around the same time so all the pop culture stuff definitely hits home.

Only watched the first episode, that's the vibe I picked up. Doesn't help that Witherspoon portrays pretty much the same character.

I'm the same way. I don't know if I hate her character or if I just don't like her because I can't stand Kerry Washington.

Read the book...book was pretty good.

Series seems to be following the book pretty well so I'm excited to see the rest of the series.

Watched the final episode last night, and man I feel like I wasted my time with this show. It just wasn't very good after the first 3 episodes. No one was likable by the end, except maybe the Reese's husband.

I enjoyed it, but the May Ling story really was a whiff for me. I guess they wanted everyone to be pulling for Bebe to get the daughter back, but I was the exact opposite the whole time. Bitch abandoned her daughter at a fire station, she should be deported and never see that kid again. It was unbelievable to me that the kids were pulling for Bebe, even Izzy.

I did like that it was the other three kids that actually started the fire because they realized how terrible their mom treated Izzy and themselves.
