Yes, it's we assholes that have fostered probably around 100 puppies over the past few years so that they could get a good home to go to that would end up being anywhere from Maine to Florida.
We have gotten dogs, puppies, kittens, etc anywhere from the aforementioned messed up face golden retriever puppies that someone just left in a town park, to puppies that the drunk owner shot the mother because he was hoping that would make the puppies , to orphaned kittens, to owner's just tired of an elderly dog because they just didn't want it anymore.

This is always thrown around but in my experience trying to adopt is such a pain in the arse that it seems like they're trying to convince you to shop. "Thank you for your interest in adopting a puppy! We'll need to run a background check, a credit check, 2 in person interviews, a pre and post adoption house visit, and your first born."

Wife and I are exploring getting a new dog and are finding a lot of these agencies are a pain in the arse.

We had 2 dogs. A lab from a breeder in Mo. And an Australian Shepherd both of whom were great dogs who lived great long lives with us.

I'm open to a rescue but you don't need to know who my vet was, how many hours we work, what my yard looks like and what happens to my dog when we evacuate for a hurricane.

I'm not saying they should give anyone a dog but these applications are ridiculous.

Got my golden retriever at Hunnington Farms in Covington and had a wonderful experience. Several friends have also bought golden doodle puppies there as well and were also pleased

I got my dog from the humane society and my cat from petco.

Never had any issues like this.

If you are spending money find the dog and breeder you like and go get the dog regardless of distance, you are talking a huge commitment do not limit it to a radius of where you live especially in a state that is corrupt as the state you are in & gas is cheep now! work from your car, road trip!

No, that would be to take care of your dog and spay or neuter. I don’t want a mix that was abandoned or abused. I have always had labs from reputable breeders and take care of my dogs.

I have a breeder in Oklahoma. Best looking Golden puppies I've ever seen. I have one, an English Cream, that I paid $2400 for from another breeder, but this one was half the price and with a great bloodline and the pup's were incredibly muscular. Best hips I've ever seen in the breed. The 10 week old pup has paws and forearms the size of my two year old retriever. Give me an address and I'll share.

Here's the pup at six weeks.
