Two things about cologuard test

1. It has an 8% false negative rate. That means 8% of people who have colon cancer or advanced polyps have a negative test and think they are fine. That can often lead to detection of colon cancer at an advanced stage when symptoms finally occur.

2. Once you have a positive cologuard test, you lose your screening benefits for colonoscopy. It becomes a diagnostic colonoscopy that most have to pay out of pocket to get the test done.

Bottom line: Just get a colonoscopy. It’s painless and can save your life
