There is a rock shelf crossing the river just above that bridge and way sand is stacked up at the bottom for many miles upstream. The bridge is not the limiting factor

So you’re not really concerned about fair share

The two most corrupt places I’ve ever been in this state were Marksville and Monroe.

I’m not sure you understand what “fair share” means.

The Louisiana Purchase

Louisiana wasn’t a state at the time. La. Became a state in 1812.
But I’d agree it was huge at the time.

It means you get what you realistically need in relation to what your community brings to the table. It means don’t come raid my interstate development money because you continue to invest in that toilet bowl we call New Orleans. It means divide federal aid in a way that encourages growth not corruption.

In your opinion, what single event/happening/decision/etc provided the largest benefit to the state?

Drew Brees signing with the New Orleans Saints in 2006.

The amount of money generated from his success and donated by him for this state has gotta be pretty fricking high.

Cancellation of the Riverfront Expressway.

NOLA would be absolutely nothing right now if it would have been built.

As far as something they actually did? The Causeway Bridge. Back when we used to do real good stuff.

Shreveport has more adequate interstate infrastructure compared to anywhere else in Louisiana based on the amount of traffic that it actually receives
