Fair enough. If someone posts a question for the thread, I try to answer it. It something is blatantly incorrect, I try to correct it. I'll let all the other discussion slide.

From what I understand, there are several GFS ensemble members that have trended back east. Maybe the NHC won’t change the track much???

Since we’re all trying to show how smart we are right now I’d like to say any time I post about historical weather events the details are off the cuff and without looking anything up.

Impressive if true. Seriously.

Euro is hell bent and determined bringing Laura into SELA. Keeps enough of Marco's remnants along the LA/TX coast to slingshot it in. Be real easy to throw this out, but its the Euro

For those of us in NOLA who need electricity tomorrow for work. Should we be re-locating north west tonight? Thanks for the feedback. New to NOLA and sounds like this storm is expected to be weak.

The euro is a pretty decent hurricane model. That’s well within reason.

Laura looks good as hell on the future res

I know people hate the term but Marco is really going to be a nothingburger. The threat from Marco is a lot of rain that will soak the ground and make the soil weak for the trees when a strong Hurricane Laura rolls through. Marco really looks like trash.

I see all this stuff or on storms etc but what I don't see much of is rain/flooding discussion. Will high pressure end up eventually move in anf move the moisture our or will it stay and continue to produce storms.

I'm ignorant but seems like this is potentially a bigger issue than winds.

It's possible but I don't think it's likely. Count it as a possible outcome I guess.
