As a Calvinist (or semi-Calvinist?), I do believe God ordains all things. So Trump's election was His will.

However - by that same token - Obama winning elections twice was also His will. There are some Christians who seem to think that God only makes good things happen but never is in charge of the bad things. No - He is in charge of all.

If God were to create Beings with no choice but to praise and worship God...what would that say re God's essential character?

If as Parents, we give our children everything, or force them to act according to our dictates and beliefs, as opposed to acquiring things on their own...then we - selfishly - remove their ability to enjoy accomplishment that THEY EARNED. It is the Children's accomplishment, that a loving Parent should celebrate.

Krauthammer was right..."if you lose your politics, it ALL goes bad from there". Politics rules Religion; Religion, being the Institution which - ideally - serves as the 'vessel' for Spiritual Truth.

Humanity (Politics) may choose to embrace a 'Religion' which denies and discards Truth...but not for long. Because Truth is the very essence of both the Worldly (Empirical) and Spiritual Universe. Such a Human Culture...will perish, in short order.

Jesus is supposedly coming back a second time - "with a sword" - to establish a righteous World Paradigm. One might call that 'Political'...maybe not. It's all Subjective in the big picture. The Quantum Physicists figured that out a long time ago; and it blew their minds.
