According to a source that will remain nameless, the booster and other financial donors are preparing an offer that would make Meyer college football’s highest-paid coach. The offer is expected to be in the ballpark of roughly $12 million per season, which is higher than current contracts owned by both Harbaugh ($8M) and Alabama head coach Nick Saban ($9M).

In full, the proposal is expected to approach $120 Million for the duration of a term extending 10 years. At the moment, it’s unclear when the proposal will be pitched to Meyer, as current Wolverines head coach Harbaugh still remains under contract with the university through the end of the 2021 season.

He is younger and one of the best coaches ever. If Saban doesn’t tack too many championships on I could see Meyer winning a bunch at a powerhouse.

Urbs is using Michigan to get Texas to cut bait on Herman and break the bank.

Sounds familiar...where have I heard something like this before?

Breaking: LSU could have deal in place with Tom Herman as soon as Saturday

Ahh that's right, 2016 when Texas was dragging their feet on firing Strong so Tom Herman's agent floated that their coveted hire was going somewhere else.

Guess who Urban Meyer's agent is?

They could probably get Les Miles for less than that.

Why do people keep paying a guy who quits every few years. This seems ridiculous

Cristobal is one hell of a recruiter, but jury is out on his coaching.

It goes without saying that Urban Meyer is Texas’ top choice. However, should Meyer choose not to leave his job as an analyst at FOX, who could Texas go to should it still decide to make a change? According to CBS Sports’ Dennis Dodd, Penn State’s James Franklin and Oregon’s Mario Cristobal would be next in line.

That's more embarrassing than losing to Ohio State 15 years in a row.

This is the shite Kirk was talking about. A ridiculous arms race for the few and title or bust for the school and fans.

No way in the world Meyer is going to Michigan. Guy grew up in Ohio and the rivalry has been in his blood since birth. He may go to Texas or USC should that opportunity present itself but no way Michigan.
