Clemsons policy is that way because once they drop a bag they expect you not to look around.

If this is all true they have done a terrible job this year as we have struck out on every top Cornerback target on our board despite having playing time, winning and NFL pedigree to sell.
I'm not naive enough to think we are totally clean but it is beyond hilarious to think Clemson is any dirtier than Alabama, Auburn, UGA, LSU or any other SEC school that cares about football. Let's at least be honest here.

It doesn’t mean you’ve done a terrible job it just means you’ve probably been out bid somewhere else or a kid doesn’t see Clemson as the place they want to be. I mean it is in damn Central SC. Next to the utopia of Seneca and Anderson.
I’m not saying Clemson exclusively cheats. Everyone does. I am simply unpacking how Clemson and Dabo went from a consistent 7-5 program for decades to an elite power house bagging nearly any national 5 star they want.

Well it is true we don't cut commitments, even if a better player comes along late in the process like Ed O does literally every year. We don't take transfers (at least not until free agency really starts next year, then all bets are off). We don't sign JUCOs.
I think we can absolutely claim at least a small amount of moral high ground in an otherwise nasty environment.
And again, if we are being outbid this year on every single DB, in a year we aren't even signing more than 20 kids total, we must not have as big a budget as virtually everyone we are recruiting against. It damn sure ain't as big as UGA, ALA or OSU.

I don’t understand why anyone considers this hypocritical. It’s pretty simple. If you want to commit, then be committed and don’t take other visits. But don’t commit unless you are ready to commit. If you want to visit and look at other schools, that’s fine. Just say so and don’t commit. Your offer is still there unless someone else takes it first.

Dabo. So much moral high ground he is telling a kid to stay committed to another school, and tell them he’s committed. Then to flip on signing day so you sabotage the other school and prevent them from giving another kid a chance.

Why do you think this is something Dabo is orchestrating and not just the kid and his parents exploring options, but wanting to keep LSU from moving in case the they decide not to flip?

Well. Clemson Mod just said they expect a decommitment to be made public soon. Possibly today. Probably a precursor to a visit. Not sounding good. Did we really think this class would finish intact? Pipe dream.
