I picked up a Espinosa Warzone earlier, that I’m struggling like a mofo to smoke right now.

I was too busy talking to one of my friends with me to realize the stick I picked up was wayyyyyy over humidified. It’s damn near soft like a piece of bread.

The humidifier in the shop was right next to the box.

I did a rotation of my boxes and I moved a few of my habanos into my desktop humidor. The kid is going swimming at my parents tmmw, and I think imma smoke one of my Montecristo Edmundos

In honor of their impending cancelation, I’m smoking a Deadwood Sweet Jane.

Report back on that one if you have some time. I’ve been interested in whether or not it lives up to the hype as well.

Lives up to the hype. It's an excellent cigar.

Perfect construction, nice oily wrapper. Super smooth draw, tons of smoke output. Slight pepper to start, but continues to develop into smooth earthy, chocolate, dark leather with a hint of sweetness to balance. Very pleasant, nutty finish. I'm buying a box.

Paired it with Noah's Mill, which was really nice. This bourbon has a great orange/citrus taste.

My search will continue then. I came across an article this morning saying E.P. Carrillo has released a top 25 box that includes this cigar. Those of you with quality B&M locally be on the lookout.

The E.P. Carrillo Trilogy sampler is a flight of three cigars, two of which have been named Cigar of the Year. The box set contains the Pledge Prequel (No. 1 Cigar of 2020), the Encore Majestic (No. 1 Cigar of 2018) and the La Historia E-III (No. 2 Cigar of 2014). The Trilogy set has a suggested retail price of $36.

Smoking an AVO Syncro Fogata and watching the Cajuns finally play decent baseball.

This stick gonna get into the regular rotation.

If anyone has a casa de Monte cristo by them keep an eye out for the Casa5 each month. I think each store varies but I picked up some Henry clay war hawk toros 5 for $25.

Smoking on a My Father Flor de las Antillas before we head to town for lunch. Easily one of my favorite cigar makers.

I had the chance recently to stop by a proper B&M and the owner recommended a Plasencia Alma Fuerte. He called it the best smoke he’s had in 40 years of cigars. Anyone had it?

I’ve personally never had it yet. But, I’ve seen a lot of folks smoking them. So they have to be good.

BTW: MAIL CALL!!

I ordered this from Fox this past Thursday, and they already arrived to my house. They started using priority mail vs first class.

Is that the new Robusto from Espinosa? I saw some of them at the shop, but didn’t pull the trigger. I need to buy from Fox more.

It’s the Warzone short churchills. 6 1/2 x 48.

LINK

My perfect size. I like ring gauges 44-50.

That’s a damn good deal on that box. I’m not too picky about sizes, but I prefer the robusto. A good stick is a good stick.

I’ve got a B&M local to me who keeps all of the Alma Fuerte line in stock. I’ve really enjoyed the Generacion V Salomon and the Sixto Natural Colorado Claro and highly recommend both. The Salomon vitola is unusual but burns so well that it’s hard to believe other producers haven’t adopted it. I’ve never regretted the premium price of these sticks and I always keep a few in my box.

Looks like Plasencia is embedding a smart chip into the band of this cigar starting in June.

I can see them using that to get locations of where cigars are really selling at.

So I’m sitting here smoking a Cuban Bolivar Corona, and the draw is so damn tight on it. And on top of that, my perfect draw tool is in my travel Xikar case, in the back of my wife’s car.

Cuba gotta do better with the rollers, rolling sticks too tight.

It’s not just Bolivars. Hoyo de Monterrey has had similar issues. I know they recently expanded into more European markets, so maybe they’re trying to meet the demand and sacrificing quality in the process.

I mostly enjoy my cigars on vacation and on the golf course. As we say- "Pars and Cigars!"

I'd love some suggestions from some of the more seasoned vets here. Over the past few years I sort of have my rotation now and don't stray, but am open to high recs. I also don't drink alcohol in case that makes a difference on recs.

Lighter smokes: favorite is AVO Intermizzo
Sweet: I like the ACID blondie and kuba kuba maduro
Short smokes: Papas Fritas
More full: MF The Judge, MF Le Bijou torpedo 1922, and there's a newer one I haven't seen mentioned in the thread that is extremely solid (no one that's tried it has disliked it at all) MF Fonseca.

Try that Fonseca, it's legit.

Any recs you guys have knowing the stuff I like would be appreciated.
