Few nuggets about Cliff’s offensive “support”

Rutgers’ Kenpom Offensive Efficiency: 300th

3pt% Made: 349th

Effective Field Goal Rating: 357th

2pt% Made: 354th

Far 2% Made: 358th

Holy fricking oooooff. To put things into perspective, our worst offenses in the Grant and Johnson eras was 152nd. Cliff is about to be dumbfounded at how much space he has. Not to mention that they had him posting up instead of picking and rolling like he’ll do here. He’s actually quite good at the latter. He also took about 100 long 2s and only hit 28%. You can go ahead and kiss those good-bye. His close 2 and dunk percentages are a bit behind Bediako in 2023 but we are talking about different stratospheres in terms of support

Between support and the new system, his admittedly average shooting numbers are about to get a big boost

Yeah Pickiell is basically Anthony Grant. He can coach up some smothering defenses but the offense is always going to be anywhere from unimpressive to downright putrid.
