Not that anyone gives a shite about what lil Ole Wednesday- but I think the day is coming where the Zuckerbergs of the world care about groups of lil Ole Wednesday. Ex- happens when Microsoft decides as a private business it doesn’t want to do business with me, and it locks me out of my secure “cloud”

Because if Microsoft decides they don't want to do business with you, Cox will also decide they don't want to do business with you. And AT&T/Verizon, and every other provider of communication out there. In the meantime, take advantage of the security and efficiency in the cloud.

This misnomer that "nobody gives a shite about me and my data" is a dangerous mindset. Firstly, they know that you give a shite about your data and will likely pay handsomely to get your data back after they steal it. And as an attorney, they know you don't want your data exposed to the public and will pay handsomely to keep it private.

Secondly, they know that you have a bunch of other people that trust you. And if those other people get an email from you, they are going to trust that email. So, breaking into your email presents a treasure trove of new, juicy targets.

When big tech and the government turn on you, having your own servers is not going to help. Until that time, having your data in the cloud provides SUBSTANTIALLY more data security than your own servers.
