Probably. Normally there is a physical meeting needed, but since he's worked there before, it's not like he needed to visit.

You ever go to those back ponds way behind the neighborhood down that walking trail? I saw an alligator in one of them around Easter.

Brutal. Again, I think we can upgrade from Kelly, but turning around a program, this level of instability is not good for that

WTF can this timing be any worse for Kelly leaving? Project, how badly will this affect our portal and commits? With Kelly being a west coast guy does this affect our chances with Hurd?

I would guess this affects any un-signed or un-committed guys.

I would guess whoever we get will have their own relationships to leverage. There are always more coaches and more guys to recruit.

ETA: This probably means we won't be getting Max Debiec. TBH, if Kelly pulls Hurd to Washington with Debiec and they bounce back, that would be a pretty ridiculous start to a rotation.

Jay knows what needs to be done pitching/recruiting wise.

He'll make good hires.

Even more reason to just blow the doors off. Morgan, Crews, Tebrake, and Pearson are safe...the rest are replaceable.

I don't know as much about coaches around the country as I used to, so I don't know his reputation, but Jimmy Belanger from Florida State is available.

Too bad John Savage is not only the UCLA HC but also their pitching coach. I say this because UCLA if nothing else seems to always have a good pitching staff.

Bringing two starting pitchers and starting SS should be a requirement for each new coach. Bring them when you interview
