Prediction on how long BR gonna be without power?

Depends where you live.

After gustav we started school back up at lsu and i was still out for a week after that. Was staying and showering with friends.

Damn. They just did a lot of work to an older house.

My son just bought a house in Montz a few months back. He said there are shingles all over his yard. Their about to really get hammered!

shite man. My folks and brother are there. They lost power about 2:30. Right in highway park. I’m worried about em. frick. I’m just downright scared tbh. I’m stuck here at work. Shits breaking. No idea when I’ll be able to leave. Thibodaux, where I live is getting hammered. My elderly parents going through this shite. I feel helpless. I’m gonna fricking lose it before this thing is over.

I suggested this earlier, and was damn near crucified. Its about to head east and this will be a non-event for BR.

It’s funny this has so many downvotes.

Everyone wants the bad shite to hit their area. It’s exciting. But if you admit it everyone is all “how dare you” and “why would you wish that!”

Comical.

Asked in another thread, anyone else live in or around UClub during Gustav? Would like to know how long they were out of power.

8 days. We’re on a different substation now though; however, the power poles on LA 30 were down all the way to Lee. That had to be completely rebuilt before we were back on. A lot of folks around pinning their hopes on the casino getting priority lol

This thing moving slow.. not good for BR

What's the rationale here?

The slower it moves, the lower the intensity/wind speeds by the time it gets here.

Are you worried about rain? We'll be on the west side. Doesn't look like a huge soaker event for BR.

With all disrespect, frick BR. The bayou parishes have this thing camped out on top of us and are being drilled. Sorry you won’t have power for a couple days
