Can't argue with anything that you're saying but your main point of contention seems to be LSU' loyalty to its long time season ticket holders. As we both know, there is no loyalty anymore, companies and corporations destroyed that back in the 80's. You have to look out for No.1.
I've been going to the games since 1979. The LSU season ticket holders' loyalty was based on tenure - the people who had tickets the longest got the best seats and access to road tickets...not a bad system right?....rewarded your loyalty.
Skip Bertman as AD came in and slapped seat licenses on the tickets and you were told to pay up and if not, you could relocate or give up your tickets. Your loyalty and tenure became worthless. It was lousy, a lot of long termers gave up their tickets and got priced out of the stadium. Did LSU suffer? Of course not, they made more money and resold the tickets, just like they will with those who opt out this week.
Don't opt out from something that you enjoy just to get back at LSU because their bureaucrats do not care. If you care about the teams and student athletes and truly enjoy the product on the field, then consider the decision to continue supporting them, as they are controlled by the same bureaucracy as you and I.
