Heartbreaking for your daughter. I went through the same thing when I was younger and, not sure your daughter's age, but seeing a beloved pet pass away was pretty scarring for a child.

I'll always pray for anyone who asks for Prayers. No matter what it is for. Its the least people could do for each other. Sorry for your loss.

Those first hours after an accident like this with a pet are tough. Always remember the great life your dog enjoyed, especially if she loved everyone - a sign of a happy pet.

Thanks for the kind words. Iam posting on here trying to keep my mind of this. Not mad at anybody that has a different view. That mutt was a attention whore anyway. She always would jump on your lap and flip on her back looking for a tummy rub. She always loved it when new people would come over. And when she got a dog treat she would howl like a wolf like she was saying look what I have. I would say give me that bone, and she would howl and just wag her tail.

You got it dear heartbroken parent. So sorry for your loss. But take heart, you will heal. We lost our Lillie bout two years ago. We mourned her passing terrible. But I'm happy to say we've got a new puppy. Not the same breed, but nevertheless just as lovable.

Neck surgery is awful. Trust me, we know.

Give yourselves time. In the meantime know that I'm praying for you and your precious daughter.

For you......

Sending up multiple prayers. One for the OP and his family, another that you meet the same fate as the poor dog did.

If I was anywhere near you I would come and dig the hole for you so you and your family can grieve. I did the same thing two years ago, cocker spaniel that slept with my 10 year old daughter every night. Hit by car in the front of the house. I was hunting an hour away, my wife called me and she couldn’t even speak, It was the longest hour drive back to my house, I couldn’t be there when my three youngest daughters needed me the most. I have a brother in law that has two daughters. He won’t get them a dog for inside because he feels times like this would be too hard for them but I feel that it is a valuable lesson about life. Any Mancho man that wants to act hard can meet me at the nearest Sonic. Our pets, especially house dogs, are extended family members. It’s ok to cry and grieve, I hope y’all are able to find comfort soon. God bless.

So sorry for your loss. It's rough to deal with the death of a loved pet, but losing one that way has to be especially hard. You and your family are in my prayers.

Thank you guys so much. You have no idea how much it means. I've lost dogs before but it's never hit me like this.
