Need someone to point in the right direction.

Looking for a pay catfish pond within an hour of BR.
Wanting to take my son fishing (catching) during Thanksgiving break.

Thanks for your help and have a Great Thanksgiving!

I think it closed a long time ago, but growing up we went to Ye Olde Catfish hole in Slidell a bunch.

Great time and memories.

Have a 4 1/2 year old and was trying to do the same thing around Houston. Most of them have closed or converted to a catfish farm.

You could probably snag some bream and sac-a-lait just bank fishing around Ramah right now. Interstate to Ramah exit, then south along the levee 10+ miles. Pat's Bay hits the levee around there.

If you're willing to drive a little more than 2 hours, just fish the banks off LA 1 near Grand Isle.

Catfish Heaven south of Breaux Bridge isn't bad. Usually pretty clean and well kept.

I haven't been to the Holden place in several years. Last time I went it was pretty rough. Very overgrown banks so access to the water was difficult, especially if you have a youngster.

I remember going to the Ozone Catfish Farm just east of Hammond (not far from the Lorraine Fire Tower) when I was little. Then there were the Holden Catfishing Lakes, but they're no more, either.
