Not in the sports world, this is pretty typical throughout with players and their coaches at the pro level, and coaches and administration at the college level.

Allen Iverson had the best quote though. When asked if he'd ever consider coaching in the NBA he said, “Hell no! I ain’t coaching no motherfrickers who make more money than me! How the hell am I going to tell them anything?”
