Does anyone know how to edit playoff matchups in Yahoo? Our league had set different parameters for playoff seeding than Yahoo's default settings. I can't find any option that allows me to do this.

You can't edit the playoffs apparently. I just checked and there doesn't seem to be an option. Maybe if you're in a premium (paid) league, but in the free leagues, you set the playoff format and it automatically seeds everyone.

I'm pretty sure it has to be set pre-draft. but you can change the playoff weeks under league settings.

Email Yahoo. I've done this before once and they fixed it within an hour or so. Different problem for me though.

Not a bad suggestion.

Try that.

My two division league agreed that the top three teams from each division would advance to the playoffs, similar in fashion to the NFL structure. Now my league's playoff picture is wrecked.

we thought we had the same rule in place. it wound up being top 2 from one division and top 4 from another - i just told the 3 guy in the other division that his team was sooo bad even yahoo didnt want him in the playoffs

Not to be a dick, but good luck with that shite. Especially if it's a free league.

I'm interested in their response if you're fortunate enough top get one.

You may have to manually manipulate the scores to rearrange the seeds -- give people wins that didn't ahve them before, stuff like that until it works out the way you want it. It would solve your problem but not be an honest recored of events. It depends on what you want to do.

Bump. This is the email I received back from Yahoo for those that are interested

quote:

Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Fantasy Sports. I appreciate your inquiry with regard to editing the playoff brackets. Regretfully, it is not possible for a League Commissioner to manually edit the playoff bracket or tiebreaker criteria. Teams that qualify for the playoffs will be determined by the league standings. Teams that advance during the playoffs will be determined by matchup results and Yahoo! tiebreakers (when necessary). If you are a League Commissioner, you have the following options for forcing changes to your playoff brackets/results: Standard (free) leagues: You may use your Commissioner tools to edit lineups/rosters for any team in your league for any completed week of the season. By changing lineups from previous weeks, you can force changes to team won/loss records that would result in changes to the league standings. Similarly, you can edit lineups from any completed playoff week to force changes to playoff matchups results. PLUS leagues: A PLUS League Commissioner can manually edit the fantasy point total associated with any team for any completed week of the season. So, if two teams tie in the playoffs with 70 points, you can manually apply your own tiebreaker by changing one team's total to 71 (+1). We value your interest in Yahoo! Fantasy Sports. If you have further comments or questions, please feel free to reply to this email and we will gladly assist you. Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Fantasy Sports.

I used ESPN last season and had no problems editing the teams and seeding. I doubt anything has changed this season. You should be good.
