1792 is the best tasting bourbon in the $30-35 range.

Prove me wrong.
I have been a Woodford fan since the 90’s. But this stuff just seems balanced and perfectly delicious. Makes Woodford seem clunky and harsh.

I went filter my local Total Wine bourbon on $30-$35, and I'd probably choose a 1L bottle of WT 101 over 1792. Not a knock on 1792 but a testament to WT.

It's over priced. It should be priced around regular 86 proof Old Forester. ~$20/ fifth.

How do I prove to you that a bourbon tastes better to me than 1792?

This. WT101 is very good bourbon at a perfect proof point. Everybody chases proof and brags about it a bit, but I'm leaning more/more towards the 100 and lower bottles. I'd yell wareagle to get a bottle of WT101 12 yr from an international market.
EDIT: And 1792 is probably a bit under-rated. Not knocking it. I think 1792 is a bit too classic, and WT has some citrus/honey notes that differentiate it a bit. But I can't prove that to anyone.

Our go to $30-$40 brands are Wild Turkey 101 (for me) and Russel's Reserve (wife).

Nah. Lots of better ones. I like Wheel Horse 101, and one time I found a Devil's River 115 proof for less than that. For under 30 the winner is Old Grandad 114.

Laugh all you want. I know your Mr. bourbon in the bourbon thread, but I know what I've paid. Do you want me to save receipts and post them for you?

Give me Early Times BIB over 1972 SMB all day

No, I am sorry , not doubting you paid that.
I have not seen it at that price for a bit but certainly at that price great juice.
