This will be in the new construction in the shopping strip mall with Robert's, Walgreens, The Parks, Goodwill etc.
Very exciting news for us Lakeview and Lakeview adjacent folks.
Nola article

There's a website up already, but no menu yet.
He's describing it as an all day cafe, neighborhood Mediterranean. It will be counter service, with grab and go options for lunch, coffee, and a full dinner menu.

Yep, wife and I are excited for this. Three things Lakeview food scene needs: casual Mediterranean, Vietnamese, better sushi.
Other Lakeview news, Outpost 45 is shutting down and reinventing itself. Curious what the new concept will be.

I hadn’t heard that about Outpost it always seems busy. Nothing survives in that spot and Outpost sucked imo so
A Vietnamese spot in lakeview would be clutch. It blows my mind there isn’t one

Sunday is the last day as Outpost 45. I never had a bad meal there, the fried catfish was actually really good. It did seem half baked as a concept though. A friend of a friend knew someone involved and we saw him one night at Wrong Iron, he had mentioned (before Outpost opened) they had a bar menu set but didn’t know what food to serve alongside it. Will be interested to see what they come up. They put a lot of money into that buildout.

Right? I used to joke with my wife that I should approach the people at Le’s Baguette and offer to bankroll a Lakeview location for them

Had no idea there wasn't a place. I love Vietnamese. I'd open a place on Harrison called c?nh h?.

I knew a Vietnamese chef for awhile and brought it up a few times. I still can’t believe no one has done it.
Technically there is that Viet Bistro on West Harrison I forget about.

Chez Pierre has some stuff

Yeah there is a Chez Pierre on W Harrison but they close early. Also wasn’t blown away by it the one time I went.
Was really hoping Vietnamese would open in the former Red Bird/now Desi Burger spot. A burger joint was the last thing I wanted to see there.

Just yesterday I mentioned to my wife that we've never been to Outpost 45. I guess we'll never go.
Back when it was a Spicer spinoff we went several times. Nothing lasts long there, or in that corner spot across the street. Meanwhile Dixie Chicken & Ribs is a landmark
