Where does AM Mart buy their bread from?

Wayne's Bakery seems pretty popular amongst BR restaurants.

I don’t know but it’s very “mid.”

Not sure either. I do know that the crust will mess up the roof of my mouth once they press it. The crust turns into terrible slivers. I've quit eating them because of this. The sandwich is not that good not pressed.

Yep, Waynes on Plank. Middle eastern guy owns it now and only bakes bread for stores/restaurants early in the morning.
Any Poboy in Baton Rouge that is not on NO bread is Waynes.

That makes the bread completely garbage to me. It legit will cut the roof of your mouth
Just drive a half mile down the road and go to Ingas for a better sandwich

God I miss that shite so much. I used to pound double meat cajun turkey/ham all the time

I’ve eaten there many times and never had my mouth annihilated by their bread

For the life of me, I’m not sure why people think the sandwiches at Am Mart are anything but an awkward pressed sandwich.. There is nothing special about this place. Get over it for already. It just a shitty unimpressive e sandwich you make yourself.

I agree and the owners are rude…..

They aren’t as good as they used to be. Had one a few weeks ago and was a bit irritated how little meat was on it.
Never had an issue with hard bread.

I eat there about twice a month. I mean it is a little crispy but I actually like that. It’s a nice textural difference to the soft inside

Isn’t this pretty much every poboy though? We’re not talking about Michelin Star type food. These are “poor boys”

To be fair, most sandwich shops have a lot of ingredients I don't keep at home, which makes buying a sandwich out worth it. AM Mart doesn't have anything beyond basic sandwich ingredients.
If I'm getting a sandwich out, I'm opting for something like Cheeba Hut or Jersey Mike's.
I like AM Mart fine enough, but I never understood the obsession beyond the cheap price it used to be.
