Going to be in town for a concert this weekend and looking to see if there are any places worth stopping in. We have a group of 8.

Tunk’s on Kincaid lake, Spirits on Texas St, Bellino’s on Jackson St Ext are my recommendations

Spirits is pretty good and they have live music

Spirits for casual, diamond grill downtown for dressy . Verona has pretty good pasta . Unfortunately there isn’t much in “Alec” for good food.

Spirits is your best best. Not going to be mind-blowing but it's not bad.
Bellino's was my favorite for something a little more intimate but they are only open for takeout two nights a week now.
Verona is fine.
Diamond Grill is ridiculously expensive.
I haven't made it to Tunk's in the four years I've been there because my husband thinks Kincaid is too far of a drive

I just really like Diamond Grill. I see people say hit or miss, but seems like I am always on the hit night. Everything else people have mentioned are good.

Everyone has named the usual places.
Allow me to suggest different places.
Royal Indian Bistro has amazing Indian food.
Wildwood pizza is probably the best non chain pizza I have ever eaten. (Protip: order a “hit the quan, no chicken, double pepperoni. Easily my favorite food in Cenla)
Quebideauxs in Pineville is really nice atmosphere and good food. I tell people it is a small step up from prejeans.
Word of Mouth never disappoints me. They have burgers, American diner food, and usually something different and delicious (I’m thinking of their pulled pork tacos with mango purée)
Caro’s has authentic Mexican and is delicious.
Robbie G’s is a good place for shrimp and burgers. Cool atmosphere.
Mandarin is a good sit down, no buffet, Chinese restaurant. Tiny spicy chicken is a local celebrity.
Koals is putting out some top quality BBQ. Much better than outlaws. Absolutely go for their bbq, stay away from their steaks. I have not been impressed with their steaks. The pit room sampler is like $32 and you have to be a serious eater for it not to feed 3 people. You just need to order a couple of sides.
Dont drive out to tunks unless everyone wants oysters. The atmosphere is nice but the food is very meh for the price.
Veronas has been closed and will be closed for a few more days because the owners went on vacation home to Italy for a while. I have eaten there enough to say that if you stick to the basics, it is delicious. The lasagna, spaghetti, Alfredo, and vodka sauces are top tier. When you start getting fancy, they seem to drop the ball. E.g. seafood ravioli and veal.

Yessir! We are staying at the Bentley.

The Bentley actually has/had a decent bar the last time we stayed there. The breakfast at the restaurant downstairs wasnt bad for Sunday morning hangover.

There’s an Applebees over on McArthur…

We actually decided to do dinner at the restaurant here at the Bentley just out of convenience and then we just walked to the bar next door (Mirror Room). Pretty cool bar!

Bellino's is open Thursday/Friday only from 4 PM - 9PM and does mostly takeout but does have a couple small table inside and you can set at the bar and order/eat.
