Don't get me wrong, Ronnie's is solid, but it's far from the GOAT. With that said, there is a location in Hammond, which is at least a little closer to New Orleans.

Terrible boudin and terrible service at their original location. Told them I wanted some boudin to eat in the car and when I grabbed the wrapping paper it was in, it was cold. Crap boudin was frozen solid. That boudin is not close to Billy's, Poche's, Best Stop, Karchner's, Don's etc. around Lafayette
You should have tried a hot boudin burrito. They don’t serve hot link boudin.
There is a boudin served at Five Oaks. North of Intracoastal City that is one of my favorites.
Boudin is like gumbo. A bunch of different methods and recipes.
You probably caught a new girl regarding service. I call ten minutes out to order.
Sometimes I’ll buy twenty 2 pound packs to bring to my customers wives.
Several enjoy the crawfish boudin especially.

Best boudin in the NOLA area is going to be Boudin by Jamison. Thank me later.
As stated before, Brewery Saint X has some tasty cracklin as does Blue Oak.

This.
Blue Oak is pretty good too.
Chris’s is so damn hit or miss, but usually bad.
I can’t find good boudin anywhere down this way.
And anyone who claims Ronnie’s smoked boudin isn’t great has no taste

I wouldn't call it "terrible" but if you've had boudin from the other places you listed, yeah...you're not gonna be impressed. Their boudin burrito isn't bad but again, depends on what you're used to. True GOOD boudin really starts around New Iberia IMO. Legnon's is damn good and it only gets better as you head west. Kartchner's and Billeaud's are my two favorites. If we're talking smoked, Ronnies in Hammond does a great job and Billy's does too.
eta: to address the OP...it depends on what you're used to. If you've ate boudin and cracklin' from Acadiana then you're gonna be hard-pressed to find anything "good" in that area. If you haven't, go get you some Best Stop from Rouse's.

Anybody have any experience with Juneau’s Cajun Meats? The original is in Marksville and they recently opened a new location in Franklinton, a hour north of New Orleans.

If you are looking for some boudin to bring home they sell Best Stop vacuum packed at Rouses.
Toups for some of the best cracklins out there. Honestly rather them over places like Kartchners, Billy's or Don's.
There is a Bergeron's in Mandeville now that can fill some need.

Best cracklin is at Danny and Bonny’s on West Bank
Cajun Fresh Market on hwy 90 eastbound just past the Raceland exit also has pretty good fresh cracklin at certain times.

Gonzales is as close as you can get to Nola for decent boudin and cracklins. Bergeron’s in Gonzales is decent. Is it Scott La. good? No but it’s decent.

Juneau's Cajun Meats. The one up here is at the corner of Hwy 450 and Hwy 16. I don’t know where their at down there, but I know they are there somewhere.

I think Wayne Jacobs in La Place is pretty good but they close at 2 PM.
Ronnie's boudin & cracklin in Hammond (airline Highway) is very good.

For Boudin there is a guy "Boudin by Jameson" that is really good, he has pick ups every 2 weeks in Metairie, Chalmette and Nortshore. He also does Gretna market and the Northshore markets on weekend. He has a Facebook page that shows when and how to order. His stuff is really good for the area.
For cracklings i really like Blue Oak as well.

Sorry, don't get the allure of that place. To me it's just ok. My inlaws live there fresh sausage, when they cook it for Sunday lunch I stay home.
O.P. for craclins you can try Danny and Bonnie seafood on LA23. They pretty good. They do dip them in some type of vinegar but they are heated to order so if you don't want that just tell them. As far as boudin, buy Best Stop in a local store and steam, grill or smoke it yourself.

Winn Dixie has best stop and maybe another one that you can buy frozen.
Rouses may have a few options too. Their store bought brand is not THAT bad in a pinch.

Hands down the BEST! He won people's choice 2 years in a row before Covid at the big boudin competition out in Lafayette area. He does dropoffs around the area on Thursdays and does local markets on the weekend.
