Cafe East and Royal China are possibly the two best in the entire NO area.

Metairie/Kenner alone have a shite ton of great foods in a myriad of ethnicities. Happy to suggest any restaurant/bar you need.

I love me some Five Happiness. But, chinese food goes down in quality for take out/delivery. It should be served at a table in a restuarant. Neauxla, we are both Uptown natives and Five Happiness is always my go to spot.

Their fried rice was good..I'll give em that. But the other 2 dishes I ordered werent all that good. Plus 5 happiness is closer! :-) China Orchid on Carrolton actually is pretty good if I'm going cheaper. There used to be a place in Kenner on Transcontinental (i think) called "Wok it to Me" They had the BEST lo mein! I've never found any place that came close to comparing.

5 Happiness is overrated, never really cared for it. But its where my family always wanted to go.

So how are their eponymous eggrolls? Got to admit I've driven down Vets a few times hungry just for a snack and wondered ....

Couldn't finish the one I tried...whatever else I got was covered in some disgusting red goop...

It isn't very often that I leave because something is flat out inedible!

PF Changs is always going to be my favorite and I'm as anti-chain as any native New Orleanian.

I will NOT eat at a chain restaurant in New Orleans. Except for PF Changs.

Their Orange Peel Beef and Kung Pao Shrimp/Scallops are twice as good as anything on Five Happiness' menu.
